BodyTalk for Autoimmune Diseases
Over the past several years, I have noticed a trend in the particular types of health issues that clients come to see me for help with. What I have discovered is that one of the main health conditions that I help women with is autoimmune disease. As I have noticed this trend I have begin to dive deeper into understanding autoimmune diseases and now I specialize in BodyTalk for Autoimmune Diseases.
What is an autoimmune disease?
The simplest explanation of an autoimmune disease is when the body’s immune system turns to attacking the body’s own tissue, rather than fighting often different pathogens.
There are over 80 different specific types of autoimmune diseases, including: lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, multiple sclerosis, Type I diabetes, asthma, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Why is BodyTalk an effective approach to treating autoimmune disease?
BodyTalk has many powerful tools that can be used to help with re-balancing the immune system in a way that Western medicine cannot yet do. Rather than focusing on taking medicines to suppress the immune system and symptoms, BodyTalk instead focuses on re-balancing the immune system and clearing the underlying causes that have led to the development of an autoimmune disease.
This re-balancing can include clearing allergies and intolerances that have developed over time and are part of the immune system’s overreactivity. BodyTalk can also work with balancing the body’s microbiome, which is the community of good “bugs” that populate areas like the digestive system, skin, and respiratory system and which help to train the immune system into not being over-reactive.
BodyTalk is an effective strategy to work with epigenetic markers, which are the markers that are created on the DNA by things like environmental toxins, traumas we have experienced, and toxins to which our ancestors were exposed. Recent scientific research is that these markers can alter gene expression and contribute to disease. By working to clear these markers, BodyTalk can help heal many of the factors that contribute to disease.
in addition, because autoimmune disease has to do with the body attacking its own tissue, there are typically factors like our beliefs about our own worthiness and self-love that contribute to how the immune cells in the body react to our own tissue. BodyTalk has powerful tools to release these underlying beliefs that can contribute to these diseases.
Check out what one of Lyn’s clients had to say about how BodyTalk has helped with her lupus:
“I am sleeping better, my pain (most of the time) is tolerable, and I am taking less pain medications. My energy levels have improved tremendously. My lupus flare-ups usually last 2-3 weeks but having weekly sessions with Lyn, they have reduced to 10 days.” -Marta T.
